The main services/functional areas of CCVS are:
- Cotswold Community Transport
- Cotswold Volunteer Centre
- Cotswold CVS
- Cotswold Day Care
- Cotswold Driver Training Centre
Cotswold Community Transport
Cirencester, Fairford, Tetbury and Bourton Dial-a-Rides, the Hospital Car Service, and the Social Car Schemes are all operated by 'Cotswold Community Transport'. Across the region we covered more than 500,000 miles last year helping people (including the elderly, infirm and those with a range of physical, mental and learning difficulties) to access essential services such as hospitals, GP's and dental surgeries, local shops, day centres, etc.
Cotswold Volunteer Centre
Our primary job is to match potential volunteers with a range of local voluntary organisations and community groups who need them (volunteering opportunities can also be accessed via our offices in Fairford, Tetbury and Bourton). We are an accredited member of Volunteering England and a specialist centre for Youth Volunteering in the county.
Cotswold CVS
In addition to carrying out a strategic representation, advocacy and liaison function we also offer advice, information and support to voluntary and community organisations throughout the Cotswolds District. We provide free help with business planning, financial or legal issues, governance, training, etc. Cotswold CVS are accredited members of the National Association for Voluntary & Community Action.
Cotswold Day Centres
CCVS operates two day care centres, one in Cirencester (Meadowbank) and one in Tetbury (St.Mary's). In addition we also run a popular lunch club in Fairford.
Cotswold Driver Training Centre
This provides nationally recognised accredited training by our in-house team of professionally qualified trainers. We specialise in MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) as well as C1 (ambulance), D1 (minibus) and PCV (coaches). We can also provide PATS (Passenger Assisted Training Scheme) courses. We offer discounts to charities and voluntary sector organisations.
